Well, in my current playthrough of ORAS, I named a Skrelp and a Kabuto (eventually going to be a Dragalge and Kabutops of course~) after the two of them, so, in a sense, they're reunited (there's no naming theme (though that would be a cool idea for one), but since I'm playing with a sort of challenge rule that your team has to consist of three pairs and you can only switch between that one pair per battle, so when the opportunity arose, I couldn't resist). 
....It's a Nuzlocke, though, so let's hope that the pokemon equivalent of Jaffar or/and Ephidel show up.
